Getty buys Photolibrary.com

Getty Images has acquired competitor Photolibrary.com, based in Australia. Founded in 1967 Photolibrary are one of the top five image and video libraries in the world. This is an attempt for Getty increase market share and expand into Asia and the Middle East.

Getty Images acquires PicScout

Getty Images has acquired PicScout, a company that developed ImageTracker technology that scours the internet in search of unauthorised use of copyrighted images. In 2008 Getty Images itself was sold to a private equity firm Hellman & Friedman.

Lightroom 3.4 and Camera Raw 6.4 now available

Tom Hogarty posted that Adobe Lightroom 3.4 and Camera Raw 6.4 are now available as final releases on Adobe.com and through the update mechanisms available in Photoshop CS5 and Lightroom 3. These updates include bug fixes, new camera support and new lens profiles.
