No, not the act of giving a photograph as a present. I’m reflecting on the many gifts photography has given me as a professional photographer. AÂ voice, a visual medium to express ideas and feelings. AÂ career that so far has offered the opportunity to meet people in some extraordinary places:
- Throughout Australia, Asia, Europe and America
- Hovered over Sydney Harbour at dawn
- Two kilometres underground
- AÂ week living with homeless people
- Face to face with celebrities
- Met world leaders; political, spiritual and business
- Witnessed incredible jobs that people do
Every time I’ve learned a little about the lives I’ve photographed and yes, about life itself.
